A mental disorder- Body Integrity Identity Disorder

Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID), formerly known as Amputee Identity Disorder, is a psychological disorder wherein sufferers feel they would be happier living as an amputee. It is typically accompanied by the desire to amputate one or more healthy limbs to achieve that end. This situation occurs due to missing maping of the effected part in brain. Individuals with BIID disorder often leads their life in depression, it gives them the feeling as though the effected leg or arm is really not part of their body. Many people with BIID disorder often takes extreme measures in order to get rid of that particular part of their body. In US, the law forbids amputation of any healthy part of the human being and thus doctors hesitate to do such kind of procedures or else their licence would be canceled. What is depression?   Depression is a mental state where you feel depressed and to depress that depression you may cross your limit to end this depression which in turn would make you feel more depressed and more over make your family members too feel depressed thus depression leading to depression and your life becomes depressed again. Obstructive sleep apnea

Obstructive sleep apnea is characterized by recurrent interruptions of breathing during sleep due to temporary obstruction of the airway by lax, excessively bulky, or malformed pharyngeal tissues (soft palate, uvula, and sometimes tonsils), with resultant hypoxemia and chronic lethargy. Sleep in the supine position predisposes apnic episodes. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the most common type of sleep-disordered breathing, affects about 4% of men and 2% of women between the ages of 30 and 60. In addition, it occurs in about 2% of children, largely because of reversible adenotonsillar hyperplasia. It must be distinguished from central sleep apnea, in which apneic episodes during sleep result from impairment of the autonomic respiratory drive. What is Purpura

A condition characterized by hemorrhage into the skin. Appearance of the lesions varies with the type of purpura, the duration of the lesions, and the acuteness of the onset. The color is first red, gradually darkens to purple, fades to a brownish yellow, and usually disappears in 2–3 weeks; color of residual permanent pigmentation depends largely on the type of unabsorbed pigment of the extravasated blood; extravasations may also occur in the mucous membranes and internal organs.
